2007 Hahn Estates Pinot Noir (USA, California, Central Coast, Monterey County)
Nice Pinot. Bolder than most pinot noirs. The color was a deep purple. Solid Chery and Cinnamon on the nose with some red bell pepper. Not a ton of fruit on the start that I would like to have on a pinot but there was a nice dose of blackberry. Was jammy with some spice. Felt young. This was a smokey wine with lots ot cigar tobacco and leather on the finish. i was not a huge fan of this bottle, but this wine is way under priced and an average of 13 bucks. I would grab what you can for that price because the 2007 seemed like it is going to be very nice in a few years.

I agree. It was not a typical Pinot taste, but for the money, you’d be hard-pressed to find something better in my humble opinion (especially if you give it a few years)!
