Cambria Pinot Noir Julia’s Vineyard 2006, 88 points

2006 Cambria Pinot Noir Julia’s Vineyard

(USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Maria Valley)

Soft and sweet nose. The nose had an interesting carmel scotch to it with blackberry.  Little perfume. Little thin on color with hints of brown.  The palate was a little pale. As a pinot it did have some charisma to it.  Little dark and had more flavors than a typical pinot.  Strong on plum and not hard on the alcohol and some black currant.  The finish was bolder than the start.  Not an explosion but overall it was a constant solid wine.  Give it a try.
