2005 Chateau Dauzac
(France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux)
Dark wine on the palate and somewhat boring. Medium bodied wine with floral, blackberry, and green pepper nose. Little garden and greens on the nose. Lots of acidity that hits the sides of the tongue and then migrates to the center back of the tongue with black pepper and black olive forward. Settled down after a few hours. The mid palette stayed like the start and was a little boring. Good length of finish and less than spectacular. Strong tannins as expected. Dark fruits got a little better after some time. Dark bold color. Just ok for the money.
