Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon Bosché Vineyard 1998, 89 points

1998 Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon Bosché Vineyard

(USA, California, Napa Valley)

This wine has big floral to it. Lots of lavender. I enjoyed this wine it was a nice departure from the everyday cabs. The nose was huge with floral, green pepper and blackberry. The start on the palate matched the nose except the fruit was not as huge as I expected. The lavender was really good and made for an interesting vine. the tannins were light. As much as I like this wine from the standpoint of it being very different. This wine has big floral to it. Lots of lavender. I enjoyed this wine it was a nice departure from the everyday cabs. Light on the fruit and tannins. Soft and velvety through the finish and it had a good hang time. Definitely give this vine a try for 70 bucks.nt and floral it was not balanced.
