Highly rated from my friend Gary Vaynerchuk so I wanted to try. The 2008 Moscato is a little over rated thus far to me. The color is almost clear with a hint of pineapple color to it. The nose has pear and plum. When first opened the heat overtook the fruit on the nose. About 20 minutes in the fruit came alive and green apple started to come through. The start of the palate is bolder than I like for a muscat and there is a lot of heat and tang on the start, heavy green apple and pear. Great action on the sides of the tongue. It is definitely a lively wine. Good hang time on the finish with some black licorice. Overall a nice wine, but I would say borderline for the money.
