2007 Loring Wine Company Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch Vineyard
(USA, California, Sonoma County, Green Valley)
Really nice pinot. The color was a thinner purple. A step above the standards. Lots of berries on the start with spices and blackberry forward. The nose was jammy with some raspberry, cloves, cinnamon and black fruits. The palate was a wow. Tannins were just right and this wine had a nice tang to it while hitting with an explosion of fruits. Spices, cinnamon, blackberries, black licorice. The transition lingered and the finish was long and velvety.
This was a nice wine that you can open today and enjoy the hell out of it and knowing it will age nice and be great in a couple years. Reasonable for about 40 bucks. Nice and refreshing with sea food or meats. Give it a try.
