Napa Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 , 88 points

2004 Napa Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon

(USA, California, Napa Valley)

Wow this was a surprise based on the price.  This Napa Cellars Cabernet is way under priced.  You can buy from their site at $29.00 but in my opinion this is a $60 wine.  This is a define try for the money.
Color was a darker lavender. The nose had a little heat on it and the alcohol was coming out.  The fruits were standard and had hints of cherry and lighter berries. A little spicy on the nose.  The palate was smooth and not too hot.   Little alcohol coming through in a way that I don’t think that this wine will age too well. 14.3 on the alcohol. Balanced taste with a longer than expected finish. Smooth with berries, little chocolate, oak, vanilla, and it had a fresh crisp feel.  Classic feeling cab. This wine is not a blow your socks off wine but very good quality for the money and is definitely a pop and drink wine.  Try this wine and get your hands on what you can.  14,000 case production on this.  Small family vineyard.
