2004 Von Strasser Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain

Nice old world wine. The nose had blueberries and vanilla. Soft and velvety and this wine was going more toward a french Bordeaux  Deep purple on the color.  The finish was long.  Into the decanting at about 10 minutes the nose really opened up and the fruit soared.  Dry on the finish with some wet leaves and pipe tobacco and it gave the finish some nice character and complexity. I really like the old world feel and barnyard to this wine.  Definitely a try.
